Dear archers, I had to change a file (saa7134-card.c) in kernel source to make my Avermedia TV Tuner work. But i must try to change some code in the file several time. Its not a problem if im compiling the kernel by traditional way, but if i follow the arch way, its so time consumed because i had to extract the original kernel source and then edit saa7134-card.c file again. There is a TRIO driver that works fine with LabVIEW (and VB etc) - Check out the TRIO site (www.triomotion.com) Using this control, you can read/write VR's, and look at Inputs etc. I've used this successfully on VB based front-ends, but also with LabVIEW. I cannot help with the Modbus problem, other than ask you to check that you've set up the com port of the MC216 using the SETCOM command. You may also find that the holding registers are mapped through to TRIO's VR variables - not the I/O. Buonasera a tutti, ho un windows2000 virtuale che gira su workstation10 (Win7), che ha per una risoluzione di 640 x 480 a 16 colori quando la macchina fisica originale aveva una risoluzione di 800 x 600 a 65mila colori. Il problema che uno dei programmi che devo far girare sulla macchina virtuale ha delle finestre non ridimensionabili troppo grandi quindi non riesco ad accedere ad alcuni pulsanti. Se provo banalmente ad alzare la risoluzione come farei se stessi lavorando sulla macchina fisica ho la possibilit di portarla a 800 x 600 ma quando do applica poi mi ritrovo sempre a 640 x 480. Come posso risolvere il problema? Se vado sulla gestione periferiche del win2000 vedo il classico punto interrogativo giallo con la dicitura Driver VGA generico.

I picked up a cheap TV capture card off of ebay, and was wondering if anyone could give me some advice getting it working. Its the saa7130 chipset/saa7134 driver, but according to dmesg, the cheapy manufacturer didnt include an eeprom to id the cards board. On top of that, tvtime doesnt work for my older R200 video card. So Im not sure if xawtv will show anything even if the card has the right driver/bus combo. I thought about cating to to an mpg file, but since its not hardware decoding, I doubt thatd work.
In short, does anyone have any idea how figure out what kind of pci board this card uses?:? I have tried to sync this things for days now with no luck, my computer does not realize the thing, I upgraded to WMP 11 that didn't help either. HELP PLEASE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! When you go into Device Manager (Click Start, right-click Computer, select Properties, and then click the Device Manager link). Under 'Sound, Video, and Game Controllers', find the name of your Sound device. Then search the Internet for the name of your sound device and the words 'vista driver'. Or if you let us know what your sound card (also it would be helpful to know your PC model), we can maybe help find drivers or other solutions for you.

If you are not able to use the Gmail password to access the tablet, you may have to reset the tablet, this will delete all data on the device except from the SD card. You need to turn off the tablet to get the recovery menu up and press volum down the power till you will have the recovery. You`ll have to reboot your Trio Stealth to get to recovery mode first.Here`s how:- Press and hold the Power button and Volume Up button, release the power button while restarting.- The device will start up on Recovery Mode.- You can restore your Trio Stealth now. Once you have the menu accessed.
Go to Wipe data and select on Reset then reboot after. This will process the command will delete all data then start setting up the tablet again.

Situation: The installation took about 35 min (not bad), nearly ALL drivers (network, sound, graphics.) installed automatically, and now the system works absolutely fine on partition d: (clear install), even games - older and newer - work fast and flawlessly on my 5yrs old notebook. Now the problem: My PCMCIA tv card (Lifeview) which works w/o any trouble on XP SP3 doesn't get to work because all attempts to install a driver for it are failing. 1st try: system refuses to find any suitable driver. 2d try: manufacturer's driver that work for my xp system don't work because installing them via device manager fails, and installing them with right-click on.inf file gets the message invalid installation method or something. 3d try: manufacturer's vista driver (DTM) comes with a self-installation assistent - and doesn't find any card (??).
4th try: installing a driver from another manufacturer (based on the same chipset, saa7134) succeeds but only in theory; card gets no signal, led not flashing. 5th try: installing the philips saa7134 driver from win7 driver pool (tried it before, say attempt #3a), no effect. 6th try: re-installing the driver from 4th try - surprise! Now it works, led flashing, and most (not all) applications receive at least an analog tv signal (like MCE).

I am using a usb input device (Kworld) and while it works fine with Media encoder 9 it refuses to cooporate in expressions. What I get is either a wrong aspect ratio image (too tall) or just a green bar along the bottom of the screen. I was getting a similar fault on ME9 when I tried to use a 713x BDA analog device (life view flyDVB-T card) which from reading posts on the net will not work. What does ME9 have that I need to install in Expressions (driver etc) to make the USB device work? I'm running XP sp2 on a 3.4Ghz P4 with 2G of RAM if that makes any difference Thanks.

Hi, I have an AVerMedia TV Hybrid A16AR pci tv card with remote control which I am having difficulty configuring under Arch. I have an old PC I am using as a media server running XBMC.
Previously I had Ubuntu on this box, but I have chosen to move away from the.buntus and seeing as my main box is Arch. Anyway, under Ubuntu the remote worked flawlessly.

The only config I had to do was add a module option for saa7134 to select the correct card type (99), a udev rule to create a static device node (the remote uses devinput so the device node can change when other devices are added/removed), and drop in my lirc hardware.conf and lircd.conf (previously created using irrecord). Now, under Arch, I can not get the remote to work correctly. The pci card is recognised and loaded correctly, the udev rule is actioned correctly, the lirc daemon starts correctly and the hardware.conf file appears to be recognised as I can use irrecord to successfully create an lircd.conf file. The problem is the remote (testing with irw) appears to be acting as a keyboard. No IR codes set in my lircd.conf are issued. The number buttons will output the corresponding number to the console and the other buttons either output nothing or what appears to be special key codes (for example if you press ESC in the console). Following are copies of my config files along with any differences I have noticed between the Arch and Ubuntu versions.

I really like arch and would like to use it as my regular OS! Anyway, I have a pinnacle pctv stereo card using the saa7134 driver. Card number is 26 (found it in a list). I live in Sweden meaning I have a PAL system.

Grab the CVS for video4Linux and linux-dvb, instructions can be found at LinuxTV.org (. Goto the video4linux directory and run scripts/merge-trees.sh. Edit the Make.config file and make sure saa7134-dvb = n is changed to saa7134-dvb = m (builds the dvb part as a module). Run make make install.
Then modprobe saa7134 oss=1 card=70. Then modprobe saa7134-dvb and you should be good to go. Remote Control: Ive added support for the remote control as well. It uses the linux input layer and so youll need to configure LIRC accordingly.

This seems to have some problems to record the sound with SAA7134 based cards. Other users solved this using an updated driver provided by their manufacturer.I've just asked for this in the e-Support area, but they gave me the generic answer about unsupported third party software.Does anyone know wich driver to use for the card? SiSoft Sandra told me that it is an ASUSTek TV card device ID 4830. My VAIO is a PCV-RZ102.Thanks in advance.
