Download the latest drivers for your RAS Async Adapter to keep your Computer up-to-date.
Hi, A system repair is OK. Generally it will not affect your system much so it is worth to have a try. However please understand that system repair will keep applications so it may still keep the incorrect driver.

Above all, please monitor the Network adapters list in Device Manager - with or without connect the mobile modem, any device is pop-up in the list? If so, log it down, uninstall the software of the mobile modem, uninstall the device you logged from Device Manager, also click View - Show Hidden Device and uninstall all hidden devices. Also please access page to get the VZAccess Manager for your device incase there is an update version for it.
Then please unplug the device, reboot, plug it in, install the software and see if it will back to work. Please remember to mark the replies as answers if they help and un-mark them if they provide no help.

After a system repair, devices will not be recognized until installing drivers so let's first test to manually reinstall these drivers. If there is a missing driver, it should display an unknown device in Device Manager. So it could be also caused that the RAS Async Adapter is recognized or manually installed as other device - which is in your Device Manager list with a different name.
To confirm the result, we will need to remove and reinstall these devices. Please noticed that if we uninstall network card driver, the internet connection will be disconnected so please download drivers to local before uninstall. Your laptop could be found. Please choose Windows 7 64bit and download chipset and network drivers - if you cannot confirm which one is for your laptop, download all 5 network drivers as the incorrect ones will not able to be installed. Then please uninstall all devices in Device Manager - Network Adapter. They should be re-recognized after installing the drivers we just downloaded.

I went to the Dell website and downloaded the Windows 7 64bit and download all chipset and network drivers. Then I uninstalled all devices in Device Manager - Network Adapter.
The new drivers were all re-recognized after installing the drivers I just downloaded. Then I rebooted. But it did not solve my problem. I get the same errors in Verizon Manager and the Event Manger log. There a no unknown adapters in Device Manager (including hidden devices). I hesitate to do this, but would it make sense to do a Windows 7 repair from the DVD? Other suggestions?
